Trauma is Of Rituals' first album. Lyrically, Trauma touches on subjects such as politics, mental health, and losing a loved one. Musically, the album spans a wide range of influences. From the heaviness of "National Kill a Pedophile day" to the melodic nature of "Let Me Drown."

Two and a half years in the making, Trauma started its life as an EP named Stay Alive to commemorate the memory of a close friend of, ex vocalist, Joey and Danny's who passed away directly before the band's inception. Following a temporary hiatus, Joey, Danny, and Alec decided to change the EP to a full length album and rename it to Trauma to symbolize the trials they went through to get the album put together.
